Soul Fit Annual Christmas Review - 2021

Updated: Dec 6, 2021

Hey!

James here giving you the first of our semi regular Soul Fit round up. Don’t worry, we won’t be spamming your inboxes every other day, expect an email from us once a month at most letting you know what we’ve got coming up, or what you might have missed. Nearly 6 months after opening it’s been amazing to see so many smiling new faces come and get involved at Soul Fit. The community we’re growing and how willing everyone is to get involved with the events has been simply incredible.

So what HAS happened in the last 6 months?

Well first of all we opened a gym. I say we because despite this being a dream of mine for many years, it truly couldn't have been done without the tireless work of all my family and friends along the way.

Onto August, and we teamed up with my friend’s gym near Bristol and sent 12 trainers and clients to Olympia in Hammersmith to take part in the outstanding Battle Cancer event in which we raised over £3500 that contributed to a £250k total raised by all parties for cancer charities, our chosen two were Battle Cancer and Cancer Research UK.

The last weekend of November saw us raise over £4700 between 2 local charities, Alice’s Arc, and Hospice in the Weald. We put on 24 classes in 24 hours… I think a few of us might still be a little bit sore from it haha. A huge thanks to everyone that got involved; whether taking part, donating, shouting at us from the side line, or turning up with much needed fuel in the early hours of the morning. A special thank you to our own Audace and Hannah who planned and coordinated the 24 hours of controlled mayhem. It really was an amazing event that we’re pretty sure will become an annual pre Christmas tradition. Honestly crazy to think that 6 months ago we didn’t exist and now we’re growing as part of the local community.

If you weren't there on the day and missed the hype on our instagram, firstly give us a follow, @soulfituk, and enjoy the video below.

We know you love seeing and hearing about our incredible Personal training and Injury Rehabilitation team. We’ve got some great short videos coming up helping you get to know the guys and girls putting you through your paces a little more. We’ll also have helpful articles attached to the monthly round up emails written by our team.

If you need to get that Christmas haircut don’t forget that Lou Lou’s House of Hair offers 15% off for all Soul Fit gym users. So just give her a call or pop her a message to book them in (07944515267).

Keep your eyes out for our January Personal Training and Class offers to get you into that extra bit of training after enjoying Christmas to the fullest.

And lastly, I can’t finish this without a little mention of our fantastic partners. Huge congratulations to Stef and Garf from Eden Bakes. They’ve just opened up their own café on Edenbridge High Street. I’m sure they’d love to see you pop your heads in. Keith and his fantastic crew at Life of High in Sevenoaks. Coming off winning the Muddy Stilettos ‘Kent Café of the Year’ award they’re busier than ever, but always make time for us and have really helped put us on the map for fantastic coffee in this neck of the woods. We really owe them a lot. Exciting times for Marcel and the team at Sweatsearch, the Personal Training On Demand app that’s all systems go and bound to take over. And last but certainly not least Hazel and the Sweaty Betty Sevenoaks team have a couple of very exciting events and offers coming up in December and January already!

Thanks for all your time, your energy, and helping put us on the map over our first 6 months of life here at Soul Fit. Have an amazing Christmas break, we hope you all get to spend some much needed time with families and friends.

All the best. James & The Soul Fit Team.
