Get to know James a bit more in this quick fire questions
1. If you could only do one exercise for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Run. Preferably a sprint. Nothing better than feeling that rush of wind through your hair, not that I have any.
2. Best way to unwind? (at SOUL FIT)
Although it may sound cheesy (mmmm nom nom nom) just being in the gym and training. Opening a gym and wellbeing centre has been a lifelong dream of mine so blasting the tunes, concocting a gritty workout and throwing some tin about.
3. What is the most inspiring part of your job?
2 part answer to this one. Firstly watching clients leave with a massive grin on their face after a tough but fun session, especially if they came in stressed or upset about something. It’s really satisfying to turn that around. There aren’t many jobs in the world where you genuinely impact peoples lives on a daily basis. Secondly creating a bit of a buzz amongst the trainers in the gym. I’m a big team guy, always have been, always will be. I just love seeing everyone you work with grinning ear to ear knowing they’re loving this thing we’re lucky enough to call “work” as much as I am.
4. If I were a superhero, my superpower would be…
Toughie… but probably Teleportation. Loads of positives but mainly because I spend so much time on the motorway and it bores the life out of me.
5. If you could be reincarnated as one animal, which would it be?
Have always said a Lion but after some careful thought...a Dolphin. Intelligence, ability to travel huge distances and communicate, plus they look like they have a pretty good time. Also no chance of running into a horse under the water (just in case you didn’t know.. Horses. Not a fan).
6. Dream Holiday and why?
Easy answer would be anywhere without phone signal and wifi. I love unplugging from all the mayhem. I think Canada. Hiring a car and driving it, staying in lodges and exploring. I know I said driving isn’t a bit of me but when the scenery is like that and you’re not racing about I can get behind it. Also a country with 4 real seasons you can truly rely on.
